Ornate Frame Repairs

I have recently completed some intricate frame repairs for a client. They had two rather neglected vintage frames with broken details and plenty of dust. Using my specialist cleaning fluids and cast moulding system I was able to revitalise these. I matched the guilt colours and took casts of the missing areas and created replacement parts. End results looked amazing so if you have any old frames that can do with a refurb please bring them round.

Dressing up a mirror

We have just installed a fabulous ornate silver frame to an existing mirror at a newly refurbished property in Oxfordshire. Using an Arqadia "Florence" moulding we removed the rebate to the rear of the moulding to allow this to be fixed directly to the mirror surface. Finished size was 2.2m x 1.2m.

Terry Frost under new cover

I have just installed an acrylic cover for a large Terry Frost canvas that is hanging in the Gallery at the Old Bank Hotel. This cover will protect the extremely valuable artwork from potential damage in the marvellous Gallery reception room of this prestigious Oxford Hotel. The acrylic case uses 5mm ultra clear material and and has been attached to the rebate of the canvas.

Prunella Clough - Reframe

We have just completed a new hand painted tray frame and removal of old frame to a fantastic  Prunella Clough oil on Canvas from 1985. We used Farrow & Ball Downpipe Grey finish to create a clean blend of colour to match this fantastic piece of work. Prunella Clough was a prominent British artist. She is known mostly for her paintings, though she also made prints and created assemblages of collected objects. Her subjects are closely observed details and scenes from the landscape.

Howard Hodgson

Possibly one of his last edition print runs before his recent passing has just been framed for display in the new gallery at The Old Bank Hotel in Oxford. Using ArtGlass clear non-reflect glass and float mounted and set back from the glass the end result looks stunning.
