It’s been a busy start to 2019 with lots of interesting projects undertaken.
Bespoke frames and large format printing.
The pull of the ocean has brought us South and we have just opened a studio in Chichester to bring our services to the south coast. The studio is based right by Chichester station in the City Business Centre where there is customer parking and a great buzz. Come on down and see the new set up.
I have just completed an installation of a large tray frame to a 3m x 2m Arthur Lanyon canvas. It was too big for the studio so the studio went to site where the pre cut moulding was joined and fitted to the canvas and then re hung. A great finishing touch to a stunning piece of work.
Just produced a 2m x 1.3m canvas print, stretched on to 40mm bars and fitted a stunning black tray frame with 10mm float space. Should look great in client's boardroom , let's hope they have a big car to get it there!
We have just completed a load of memorabilia framing relating to the famous Jack Solomons Boxing Gym that has just been opened as a fabulous nighttime venue by the owners of Sophie's Soho.
Open Wednesday to Saturday the old fashion speakeasy style venue is steeped in history and we have framed a load of fantastic memorabilia from it's days as Boxing Gym run by the famous fishmonger Jack Solomon.
Sophie's Soho has been open since 1st December 2017, Soho is the next evolution in the Sophie’s story.
The space combines a generous Bar with spectacular hand-made light installation and an inviting Steakhouse centred around an open kitchen.
The Bar is open all day until late and provides dining space for walk-in customers, as well as serving Sophie’s signature cocktails and a range of exciting and unusual wines.
The Steakhouse is focussed on our custom built wood fired grills and smokers. This ‘back-to-basics’ approach to cooking continues to the Steakhouse menu which showcases locally sourced vegetables and fish – along with our famous British beef.
Just completed this refurb of a neglected portrait. We cleaned the oil on canvas painting and produced a brand new Victorian style sept frame, he can now hang in pride of place in our customers hall.
I have recently completed some intricate frame repairs for a client. They had two rather neglected vintage frames with broken details and plenty of dust. Using my specialist cleaning fluids and cast moulding system I was able to revitalise these. I matched the guilt colours and took casts of the missing areas and created replacement parts. End results looked amazing so if you have any old frames that can do with a refurb please bring them round.
We have just installed a fabulous ornate silver frame to an existing mirror at a newly refurbished property in Oxfordshire. Using an Arqadia "Florence" moulding we removed the rebate to the rear of the moulding to allow this to be fixed directly to the mirror surface. Finished size was 2.2m x 1.2m.
